I am a PPR Lv 2 certified pickleball coach, competitive 5.0 player, and former top-30 USTA Northern California junior tennis player. With a strong background in competitive racket sports, I bring a technical and strategic approach to coaching, emphasizing proper footwork, efficient stroke mechanics, and smart decision-making on the court.
Having coached over 800 private and group lessons, I am passionate about helping players develop strong fundamentals, improve their court IQ, and build confidence in competitive situations. My coaching combines technical instruction with purposeful, game-based training to help players make meaningful improvements that translate directly to match play.
Some camps open with a whiteboard and spend the afternoon explaining. We open on court and stay there.
Every drill on the schedule has a job. None are there to fill time or keep a line moving. Each one rebuilds a situation you will meet in a real match, at the pace you will meet it, with a coach close enough to fix the rep before it hardens into a habit.
At 3.0 to 3.5 the strokes are usually already there. What separates you from the player who keeps beating you is the call: attack or reset, hold or step in, and how quickly you get to it. That is what the afternoon rehearses, until it stops feeling like a decision.
Three things players tell us afterwards:
Keep the ball low, move your opponent side to side, and know when a dink is worth attacking rather than just keeping alive.
Reset a hard return, get yourself to the kitchen, and tell the difference between a reset drop and an offensive one.
Move through no-man's land under control and arrive at the line ready to play instead of scrambling backwards.
Handle hard hitters, attack the high ball, and pick the right fourth-shot option instead of guessing.
Build a repeatable serve, add enough variety to keep opponents off balance, and start the point on your terms.
Use the offensive lob, retrieve the one hit at you, and finish points with an overhead you can trust.
Ask any of them what keeps them coming back and almost nobody mentions the score. It is the strategy, and it is the room.
Most arrived nervous. Then they walked in and found eight players at their own level, one coach watching every rep, and nobody keeping score of who missed what.
“It's so addictive. I love the strategy, and the people are just fantastic.”
Mary“I never thought I'd be this competitive at my age, but it's amazing. I'm hooked.”
Linda“I was nervous at first, but everyone here is so welcoming.”
Betty“The best part? No one judges you when you accidentally hit it into the net.”
KarenIt's not just about winning. It's about the people.
