Community building through coach and player interaction

Meet Coach Jen Shelby Miller

I’m a PPR Certified Pickleball Instructor and a 5.0-level competitive player. I love pickleball because it brings together strategy, athleticism, and an amazing community of players.

As a coach, my goal is simple: to help advanced players like you take their game to the next level. I help players improve their strategy, build confidence, and play smarter in real matches…especially players in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond.

My Credentials:

  • PPR Certified Pickleball Instructor
  • 5.0-rated competitive DUPR
  • 5+ years of competitive pickleball experience
  • 200+ private and group lessons taught to players of all levels and ages.
Every drill has a purpose. Every correction is grounded in your actual body. And because the camp is capped at 8, you’ll hear those corrections within minutes of making the mistake not at the end of a lecture.
Here’s what players walk away with after a day with me:
  • They win points with positioning and shot selection not exhausting power
  • They know exactly what to do in every situation, because hesitation is what’s really been costing them
  • They play multiple times a week with energy left over
  • They leave with a crew they’ll play with for years

WHY ONE AFTERNOON OF DRILLING BEATS A YEAR OF GUESSING

Most camps spend too much time talking and not enough time executing. You go home entertained, not improved.

I’m different. Here’s my philosophy: the right rep, corrected in the moment, is worth a month of guessing.

You don’t get better by hearing about the third shot drop. You get better by hitting forty of them while a coach watches, spots the one thing breaking your mechanics, and fixes it right there.

And honestly? That’s the most satisfying part of this sport, isn’t it:

That moment you adjust your paddle angle and your third shot lands exactly where you aimed it. That quiet certainty when your serve goes in deep, again and again. That feeling when a fast ball comes at you and you put it away cleanly.

You don’t wait weeks to find out if the coaching worked. You see it on the court, the same afternoon. You’ll walk off this camp with at least one flaw you’ve carried for years, already fixed.

Player Feedback

See what our players have to say about our clinics.

leave the field With Real growth

You'll win more points without exhausting yourself

Smart positioning and shot selection replace power, the 50+ player’s unfair advantage. You’ll play more and feel better after.

You'll know exactly what to do in every situation

Drive or drop? Your body will already know. When to move to the kitchen? You’ll already be moving. Hesitation is the real points-killer which gets replaced with automatic decisions.

You'll stop making the mistake that's been following you for years

In 8 players, I’ll find the one technical flaw limiting your game and correct it with real-time reps. Most players fight the same weakness for years. You’ll fix yours in an afternoon.

You'll leave with your crew and your plan

Players at your level, numbers exchanged, community joined plus a personal drill assignment, so the improvement compounds instead of fading by Thursday.

You'll Leave Feeling Energized About This Game

I’ll remind you just how enjoyable pickleball can be when it feels effortless. You’ll leave feeling good, physically and mentally, and already looking forward to your next time on the court.

On October 11, the love for the game gets refreshed.

Because when pickleball feels easy, flowing, and fun, that’s when you truly fall in love with it all over again.

Absolutely the rating range is just a signpost. If you’re a comfortable intermediate ready to improve, you’re in the right place.

Yes. With 8 players max, I read each player and scale every drill challenged, never overwhelmed.

That’s exactly why this camp exists. Everything is built for [50+] athletes: efficient movement, smart decisions, a game that works with your body. Coached by someone who’s [recovered from / trained around] the same things you’re managing.

Guaranteed by the format: 8 players, 4 hours, eyes on every rep. That’s the whole point of the cap.

Paddle, court shoes, athletic wear, water, snacks, towel.

Three reasons: eight-player maximum, corrections in the moment rather than at the end, and a written drill plan so improvement continues after you leave.

Dink & Rise Pickleballers is dedicated to growing the game by delivering high-energy, professionally led pickleball camps for players of all skill levels.
